- Ribbed rectangular locket features two rectangular chalcedony tablets measuring approximately 24.5 x 17.0 mm
- Locket rotates on an axis flipping between a polished tablet of bezel set sard and a carnelian intaglio
- Sard is opaque with dark and uniform brownish red color, almost black, while carnelian is a translucent and uniform red color
- Deeply carved to depict a portrait of a woman with curling hair interspersed with wild flowers
- Opens on a hinge to reveal a glass covered recess
- Completed by a scrolling and twisting bale with platinum accents
- Tested as platinum and 14 karat gold
