- Topped by an emerald cut ruby weighing approximately 0.25 carat - slightly violetish and strongly red
- Accented throughout by rose, transitional, and old European cut diamonds
- Weighing in total approximately 0.85 carat - quality varied and consistent with age and cut
- Completed by a pin stem with a plunging barrel clasp
- Brooch tested as platinum while pin stem has French marks for 18 karat gold
