Victorian French Diamond Carved Moonstone Silver 18 Karat Yellow Gold Antique Cherub Brooch

  • Designed as a cherub with fanning wings forming a bar style brooch centering a carved face
  • Face is carved from a mounted 13.0 x 12.0 mm moonstone cabochon
  • With grooved hair and face - colorless body with white adularescence
  • Wings are silver-topped and bead set with rose cut diamonds
  • Weighing approximately 1.32 carats total - quality consistent with antique cut and age
  • Completed by hinged pinstem with looped closure
  • Stamped with French hallmarks for 18 karat gold
  • Tested as sterling silver
