  • Ribbed rectangular locket features two rectangular chalcedony tablets measuring approximately 24.5 x 17.0 mm
  • Locket rotates on an axis flipping between a polished tablet of bezel set sard and a carnelian intaglio
  • Sard is opaque with dark and uniform brownish red color, almost black, while carnelian is a translucent and uniform red color
  • Deeply carved to depict a portrait of a woman with curling hair interspersed with wild flowers
  • Opens on a hinge to reveal a glass covered recess
  • Completed by a scrolling and twisting bale with platinum accents
  • Tested as platinum and 14 karat gold
  • Circa: 1900
  • Measures: 1 x 1 11/16 inches (including bale)
