A Brief History

The first boutique was established in 1858 on the prestigious Place Vendome square in Paris.  Afterwards the founder opened an atelier and began working with his nephew Georges Radius.  The two worked together until 1919 and successfully gathered a following for their designs of playful combinations of gems.
In 1878, Boucheron got the First Prize award for its creations at the Universal Exhibition in Paris. The necklace which was adorned with a 159-carat central sapphire remains a fundamental of the Maison Boucheron to the present day. From diamonds to gemstone mixtures, Boucheron has always shown innovation that is best displayed in the form of necklaces, earrings and bracelets.
