Art Nouveau Opal Pearl 14 Karat Two-Tone Gold Insect Pendant Brooch

  • Pendant brooch designed as a stylized flying insect with fanciful wings that feature matte green gold detail
  • Thorax centers a bezel set opal cabochon measuring approximately 5.0 x 3.5 mm; white body color with strong green/blue play-of-color
  • Accented throughout by 1.5 mm small round freshwater natural pearls, varied in color
  • With spindly polished gold legs and 1.5mm round ruby cabochon eyes
  • Completed by pin stem and closure and concealed bale loops
  • Tested as 14 karat gold
  • Circa: 1905
  • Measures: 1 1/8 x 1 1/8 inches
